Chocolate Crust Pie Recipe

This easy chocolate crust pie recipe provides you with the best base for any quick easy dessert recipe you may choose.

Try it with your favorite cheesecake recipe and get ready to receive rave compliments from everyone you serve it to!

Chocolate Graham Cracker Crumb Crust


3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (approx. 15 crackers)
3/4 cup instant cocoa mix
3 tablespoons sugar (optional)

In a small saucepan , melt the butter and shortening together. Using a separate bowl , combine the cocoa mix, cracker crumbs and sugar. Add the melted shortening to this mixture and blend together.

Pat into the bottom of a 9" pie pan or springform pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool before filling with your favorite strawberry cheesecake recipe or quick easy dessert recipe.

Chocolate Coconut Pie Shell


2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons hot milk
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups finely chopped coconut
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)


Using a double-boiler, melt the chocolate with the margerine. Mix the milk and sugar together until smooth and add to the chocolate mixture. Stir well.

Add the coconut and chopped nuts.

Spread evenly into an 8" pie pan.

Fill with ice cream and freeze.
