Undoubtably, it's best to eat strawberries in their natural state. Served fresh, these berries add a nutritional edge to all meals and snacks. A nutrient dense fruit that is high in fiber, strawberries lend interest, color and taste to any recipe.
Eating only eight strawberries per day (only 45 calories) will lead you to a healthier heart and strengthen memory. One serving will provide you with 3 grams of fiber out of a recommended 20-30 grams per day.
Dietary fiber is known to lower blood cholesterol, decrease the risk of heart disease and promote a healthy digestive system. Studies show that people who eat higer amounts of fiber have lower risks of cardiovascular disease. Other good sources of fiber are apples, bananas and oranges.

Fruit Salad
Amounts will depend on the number of people you are serving!
Strawberries, apples, oranges, bananas, raisins, watermelon (depending on the season), pears, cantelope (also depending on the season), and any other fruit that meets your fancy!
Leave strawberries whole or halved.
Cut the remaining fruit in small pieces.
Mix in bowl. Refrigerate.
You may want to sweeten to taste, but this isn't necessary. I prefer to serve fruit salad as is! If you want a more exotic flavor, add sliced kiwi and any other tropical fruit you may like.
Bon apetit!
