Philadelphia Cream Cheese Recipe with Strawberries
Any Philadelphia cream cheese recipe has to be delicious. Whether combined with jello for a pleasing salad, or strawberries for a quick, easy dessert recipe, nothing beats the taste of this product. It's been the favorite of every generation and is easily recognizeable on grocery shelves with its original silver and blue packaging. Pick up a packet, or two....or even three and head to the kitchen where you'll create your own original cream cheese recipe idea!
Strawberry Cream Cheese Delight
Ingredients:
Crust:
2 cups flaked coconut
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon flour
2 tablespoons butter or margerine, melted
Filling:
10 ounces strawberry preserves
8 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon milk
Topping:
1 cup whipped whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
8 pecan halves
8 strawberry halves
Instructions:
Combine the coconut, sugar, flour and butter. Press into the bottom of a 9" greased springform pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. Chill.
Spread the crust with 1/2 of the strawberry preserves.
Combine the cream cheese, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, chopped pecans, the almond extract and the milk. Blend well and spread over the preserves.
Whip the cream. Add 1/4 cup powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff. Spoon over the cheese layer.
Garnish with the remaining preserves, the pecal halves, and the strawberry halves. Freeze until just firm.
