An Easy Fig Jam Recipe

Figs and Strawberries? Who'd have thought it would work? Our fig jam recipe (with strawberries to boot) makes a delicious, if somewhat exotic, spread for toast, pancakes and waffles! Try it...you may just love it!

Ingredients

• 3 1/2 cups mashed fresh figs (unpeeled)
• 3 cups sugar
• 1/4 cup lemon juice
• 3 packages (3 oz.) of strawberry jello

Instructions

• Cook figs, sugar and lemon juice for five to seven minutes. Let stand overnight.
• Stir in jello. Boil again for three to four minutes, stirring occasionally.
• Pour quickly into jars and seal at once. Store in refrigerator.
