Easy Mothers Strawberry Jello Mold
Kids of all ages will love this easy mothers strawberry jello mold. Easy to prepare, this recipe includes simple ingredients that can be kept on hand in your freezer and pantry.
Ingredients:
2 cups pineapple juice
16 oz. package frozen strawberries with syrup
2 teaspoons sugar
6 oz. package lemon gelatin
1/2 pint (8 oz.) sour cream
Very ripe banana--mashed
Instructions:
Heat the pineapple juice with 1 cup of the strawberry juice and sugar until it boils.
Pour over the gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Carefully stir in the sour cream. Beat with an electric beater until frothy.
Mix in the banana.
Place strawberries in the bottom of a well buttered 6 cup mold.
Pour the liquid over the berries and chill until firm.
Serves 8-10.
Tips for Unmolding your Jello:
Always make sure that your jello is firmly set before attempting to unmold.
With moistened fingertips or the use of a rubber spatula, gently pull the jello away from the sides of the mold.
Place the mold in warm, shallow water for no more than 15 seconds.
Invert your mold onto a chilled, slightly moistened serving plate. Shake gently until your jello releases itself from the mold.
